Unscripted show started on Google-owned streamer before being remade for the UK’s E4 and most recently Netflix

Koppels In Crisis

Belgium’s Streamz is preparing to bow a local remake of Blue Therapy, the unscripted format that debuted on YouTube before being remade by Netflix.

The show, which will be known locally as Koppels in Crisis, is based on the Osun Group format and is being remade by All3Media Belgium. All3Media International sells rights.

The Belgian version features four couples as they undergo intensive therapeutic dialogues led by relationship therapist Jess Donckers. The series builds toward a critical, potentially life changing juncture and asks whether couples will reconcile or part ways.

The original Blue Therapy began as a viral YouTube series in 2021 and was produced by Andy Amadi’s TrendCentrl, before Osun Group took the format to TV with the UK’s E4 commissioning In Love & Toxic: Blue Therapy.

Earlier this year, Netflix commissioned its own global adaptation of Blue Therapy, also produced by Osun Group.

Osun Group founder Luti Fagbenle and Amadi are executive producers on the Streamz version, which debuts today.

“Blue Therapy’s universal themes of communication, conflict and commitment have resonated widely since its grassroots YouTube origins,” said Fagbenle.

“The Belgian adaptation underscores how adaptable and culturally relevant the format is. By anchoring it in local voices like Jess Donckers, Koppels in Crisis brings fresh perspective while preserving the emotional complexity that defines the series.”

Amadi added that the Belgian version “shows that the series resonates because it taps into something universal - relationships. It’s a powerful reminder that honest storytelling will always find a way to connect.”
