Jakobsen is a producer and founder of German digital studio Drive, where he worked with creative technologist Böhm and social media expert Stark.

Chapter41 will develop tools and workflows for the use of generative AI in creative processes, as well as producing AI-generated moving images such as historical reenactments.

It will also provide consulting and training services for companies, creative professionals, and broadcasters on the application of AI tools and processes.

Jakobsen becomes managing director at Chapter41, while Böhm is chief technology officer and Stark is chief creative officer.

Moritz von Kruedener, managing director at Beta Film, said the “core idea” behind the new company “is to rethink the production processes within the Beta Group and make them more efficient utilising AI.”

AI tools will be created in connection with specific productions from Beta and Drive, he added.

Jakobsen added: “Together with our partners, we are creating a space for working on making generative AI usable and valuable in moving image production with ambition and curiosity.

“We want to push creative boundaries and ensure real added value for our partners. We are open for business and are looking forward to sharing first details soon,” he added.
