Deal will see German companies sharing back-office support and distribution expertise
Beta Film’s production outfit Rosebank Entertainment has struck a strategic partnership with German digital studio Drive Beta.

Cologne-based Rosebank will take a minority stake in Drive Beta, which will provide its distribution and social media expertise to the Rosebank Group.
Rosebank, meanwhile, will support Drive Beta’s business development in areas such as finance, business, and legal.
Drive Beta, which is not affiliated with German giant Beta Film, was founded in 2018 and produces formats, specials, docuseries and drama series.
It also operates social media channels and was founded by Hannes Jakobsen, who last year launched AI start-up Chapter41 with Beta Film backing.
Rosebank produces across scripted and unscripted, with its own subsidiary production labels including Bantry Bay, Dreamtool and Brot&Butter Entertainment.
Jakobsen, founder and chief exec of Drive Beta, said the deal with Beta Film would allow his company “to build” on producing “contemporary media with a clear signature and great appeal.”
He added that the backing would also allow Drive Beta “to focus even more strongly on developing new projects and genres, as well as on entrepreneurial development.”
Jan Kromschröder and Stefan Oelze, managing partners at Rosebank Entertainment, added that they were “looking forward to the creative exchange” between their company and Drive Beta.
