Lotte Lindegaard to step down as content director to focus on drama
Denmark’s TV2 has named Lotte Lindegaard as its head of fiction on a permanent basis.
Lindegaard had taken on oversight of drama on an interim basis after the departure of Mette Nelund in 2025.

That was in addition to her content director role at the Danish commercial broadcaster, which she has held since 2012.
As part of the move to focus on fiction, Lindegaard said she would be stepping down from her content director role, with a replacement set to be named shortly.
Lindegaard said: “I have fought for public service [media] for the vast majority of my working life, and that fight has never been more important.
“We need courageous media that ensures credible information and unites us around all that we share, whether that is daily news, agenda-setting documentaries or big entertainment hits at the weekend.”
Lindegaard said she had found a particular “spark” within TV drama and had “decided that I want to be very close to the creative, the industry and the development of talent for the future.”
“Now I am very much looking forward to immersing myself in fiction and the very special space for recognition, reflection and hope that the genre opens up,” she said.
