AMC’s The Audacity heads to Australia
SBS in Australia has picked up rights to the first two seasons of AMC drama The Audacity.
The show, which will premiere exclusively on SBS, is a darkly comedic eight-episode drama from Jonathan Glatzer (Succession).
Set inside the bubble of Silicon Valley, The Audacity tracks an audacious data-mining chief exec (Billy Magnussen) as he strives to turn insight and influence into profit and power.
It debuts 15 April at 9.30pm on SBS and SBS On Demand, with episodes fast-tracked weekly. The second season will premiere on SBS at a later date.
The Bachelorette pulled by ABC
ABC has pulled the 22nd season of its hit reality show, The Bachelorette, after star Taylor Frankie Paul became the subject of a domestic assault investigation. It is unclear when, if at all, the show will air.
The decision to pull the series comes after filming on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives - in which Paul also features alongside Dakota Mortensen - was paused earlier this week.
That came after a video from 2023 emerged in which Paul appears to throw barstools at Mortensen.
A Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson said: “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”
Nelly and Ashanti extended at Peacock
Peacock has extended Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together into a second season.
The show, starring music couple Nelly and Ashanti, will be production this month and the series will air later in the year.
The show follows the celebrity couple as they pull back the curtains on their high-profile lives. The eight-episode is produced by Pantheon Media Group and Velvet Hammer Media.
