Gloria Steinem’s Famous Last Words released on Netflix
Netflix has released an interview with the late journalist and feminist icon Gloria Steinem as part of its Famous Last Words strand.
The show holds iconic figures’ interviews in private until after their passing.
Steinem’s interview was conducted by Brad Falchuk in February 2025 and delves into her interests in the shared origins of sex and race caste systems, the cultures of Indigenous peoples, and the necessity of organising across boundaries for equality.
Famous Last Words is based on Danish format Det Sidste Ord. The Steinem show was executive produced by Falchuk and Mikkel Bondesen through the Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision banner, alongside BSNA (a Banijay Entertainment company), David Goldberg, and showrunner David Friedman.
Let’s Play Ball lands on Disney’s Star
Disney’s Star Channel in Finland will become the third company to order a local version of YouTube-originated format Let’s Play Ball.
Banijay Finland will produce the eight-part series taking the competition across Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Kuopio and Oulu.
Let’s Play Ball was originally co-developed by Banijay Benelux’s EndemolShine Nederland, Talpa Studios and Signal.Stream. A digital-first piloted on YouTube via StukTV before SBS6 in the Netherlands ran its full version, which was co-produced by EndemolShine Nederland and Signal.Stream.
Banijay UK labels Initial and Zeppotron have produced a version for ITV, as revealed by Broadcast, and Banijay label Bunim/Murray Productions is taking the show to market in the US.
