Dan Selig and Glen Hansen to oversee distribution in Americas and APAC respectively
France’s Mediawan is expanding its distribution team following Sally Habbershaw’s recent appointment with two more senior hires.
The company, which is looking to ramp up its English-language content pipeline, has appointed Dan Selig as senior vice president of distribution for the Americas, and Glen Hansen to the same role overseeing APAC.
The duo will lead Mediawan’s strategic expansion across the regions, focusing on content partnerships, format sales, and regional co-productions.
Selig works out of New York and was most recently senior vice president of content sales at Boat Rocker, while LA-based Hansen joins having been senior vice president and head of sales for A+E Global Media in Asia-Pacific for over a decade.
Habbershaw, who was unveiled as Mediawan’s distribution chief earlier this week, said the duo’s “extensive experience in sales and strategic partnerships will play a pivotal role in expanding our footprint across the Americas and APAC.”
She added: “They bring outstanding reputations, exceptional editorial acumen, strong negotiating chops and an infectious passion for the industry.”
Mediawan’s catalogue runs to more 30,000 hours of shows, ranging from French hit HPI, The Count of Monte Cristo and Zorro, to Kabul and upcoming BBC drama California Avenue.
