Podcaster Scott Galloway launches FAST channel 

FAST operator Swerve TV has launched The Prof G Channel, a new streaming destination built around the voice and perspective of podcaster Scott Galloway.

The channel will debut 5 May on The Roku Channel, Prime Video, Plex, Zeam and Fawesome, with more platforms to be announced soon.

Author and New York University professor Galloway, whose has over 8 million monthly listeners, will offer analysis, commentary and cultural insight to viewers with a curated lineup of his most popular podcasts.

These include The Prof G Pod, covering business, tech and career advice; Pivot, which Galloway co-hosts with journalist and TV personality Kara Swisher; and Raging Moderates, with co-host and political strategist Jessica Tarlov.

 

Eureka to produce Fox’s Masked Singer

Fox has ordered a 15th season of The Masked Singer, with Fremantle’s Eureka Productions picking up production.

The move, first reported by US trade Deadline, comes six years after the show’s production was brought in house by Fox Alternative Entertainment (FAE).

Endemol Shine North America produced the first season in 2019, with FAE successor Fox Entertainment Studios producing subsequently until now. Production is also likely to move from LA to the East Coast to deliver greater production tax incentives.

 

Adolescence team developing drama

Adolescence creator and star Stephen Graham has let slip that the team behind the record-breaking series is developing a similarly issues-focused drama.

While he confirmed a follow-up to the Netflix hit won’t be on the cards, Graham suggested the creatives are knocking heads on a project.

“There’s something in development right now, is it public?” to which he was swiftly hushed by other members of the Adolescence team.

The series, which is produced by Warp Films alongside Matriarch Productions and Plan B, won four awards at last night’s Bafta TV Awards, having already won two at the Craft Awards two weeks prior, to mark a triumphant awards season. Read more
