Local version marks latest European remake of Korean format for global streamer

Physical 100

Korea’s Physical 100

Netflix is to launch a French version of competition reality franchise Physical 100, marking the South Korean format’s latest expansion.

100% Physique is being produced by Banijay France label ALP (Adventure Line Productions) and sees 100 athletes of all ages and sporting backgrounds coming together.

Competing individually or in teams, contestants will take part in challenges that put their various physical abilities to the test. Casting has opened, with the overall winner taking home €200,000 (£170,000).

It is not the first Banijay-owned label to produce a local version of Physical 100, with Banijay Nordic label Meter Entertainment producing a Swedish version, Lat Am-based Endemol Shine Boomdog producing a Mexican version and EndemolShine Italy working on an Italian remake.

The format was created by MBC producer Jang Ho-gi and debuted in 2023 in Korea.
