Live channels and streaming services of Spain’s RTVE and France’s M6 now available on Amazon’s streamer

Amazon’s Prime Video has struck deals in France and Spain that will allow the streamer to offer on-demand content and live channels from commercial giants M6 and RTVE.
Prime Video’s pact with RTVE starts today and provides its customers in Spain with access to live broadcasts of La 1, La 2, Canal 24H, Clan, and Teledeporte at no extra cost.

The far-reaching deal will see RTVE become available via a dedicated section on Prime Video, with La 1’s flagship series such as Hasta el Fin Del Mundo, La Promesa and MasterChef among content on offer.
In France, RTL Group-owned M6 has agreed a similar agreement that will provide more than 30,000 hours of content to Prime Video subscribers.
Streamer M6+ will be accessible for for free, while the M6, W9, 6ter and Gulli channels can be watched live.
Entertainment flagships such as Love Is In the Meadow, Who Wants to Be My Partner? and Married at First Sight are among shows on offer, alongside local versions of The Traitors and reality series such as Temptation Island.
The deal, which also includes access to major sporting events including the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the Super Bowl, comes as streamers and broadcasters look to partner up to expand their reach as TV advertising revenues decline.
Prime Video has been an increasingly active aggregator of channels and content over recent months, yesterday unveiling a deal to carry HBO Max in Italy and Germany. It also struck an agreement to offer shows and live channels from public broadcaster France Televisions last year.
RTVE, meanwhile, has also looked to expand its reach and struck a deal with Disney+ last year that allows that streamer to carry a selection of its shows.
Elisabetta Carruba, director of Prime Video Channels in EMEA, said the M6 deal “illustrates our commitment to building a streaming ecosystem adapted to new uses in a context of fragmented consumption”.
She added: “By reaching complementary audiences, we are strengthening the visibility of our brands today. This partnership also consolidates the reach of our advertising offering, marketed by M6 Unlimited, and increases the value we bring to our customers.”
Carruba said the RTVE deal would offer customers “a more complete entertainment experience” that provided content to viewers via “a single streaming service”.
