Prime Video in the US and 5 in the UK are among buyers of Paramount’s four-part tennis docuseries, Aces: The ATP No. 1 Club.

The show is from BrightNorth USA in association with Front Office Sports Studios and explores what it takes to be a world number one.

The series will premiere 22 June on Prime Video in the US and 29 June on 5 in the UK, with other buyers including Bell Media (Canada) and SkyShowtime (Albania, Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden).

Now TV Hong Kong and JioHotstar in India have also picked up the docuseries, following deals with Paramount Global Content Distribution.

The docuseries features interviews with tennis royalty ranging from Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Björn Borg, John McEnroe, and Jimmy Connors, to rising stars such as Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.

It combines archive footage with present day, behind the scenes access, to reveal the realities of striving to reach the top ranking spot.

“Aces: The ATP No. 1 Club is a rare piece of premium sports storytelling, built on extraordinary access and the most iconic names the game has ever produced,” said Don McGregor, president of global content licensing at Paramount.

“Tennis is one of the truly global sports, crowning champions from around the world and drawing fans on every continent. That universal appeal is exactly why we are seeing such strong demand from broadcasters and streamers to bring the series to audiences everywhere.”

Andrea Gaudenzi, ATP chairman, added: “Reaching World No. 1 is the ultimate achievement in our sport, and having experienced life on Tour I understand how much that journey demands.

“Only a small group of players have lived it. By bringing these stories to a global audience, this series gives fans a deeper understanding of what it takes to reach the top.”

The show is executive produced by Morgan Hertzan, Azadeh de Leon, Dan DiStefano, Pat Dimon, David Check and Larry Scott and directed by Dimon.
