Veteran content chief departing after 27 years, alongside former chief operating officer Trent Dickeson
Angus Ross, the long-standing Seven Television exec, is leaving the Australian broadcaster after almost three decades.
Ross was most recently managing director at Seven, but is departing alongside chief operating officer Trent Dickeson following the merger between Southern Cross Media and Seven’s owner, Seven West Media.

Seb Rennie is now chief commercial officer at the combined group, with Stephen Haddad named chief operating officer.
Ross, who had been with Seven since 1999, becomes the latest senior exec to leave the combined entity after its chief exec, Jeff Howard, departed last month ahead of the group’s first annual results.
Southern Cross Media Group’s chair, Heith Mackay-Cruise, said: “Over many years, Angus has made an outstanding contribution to the Seven Network, and we are sincerely grateful for his commitment and impact.
“Among many achievements, perhaps most notably, Angus and his team have led the Seven Network to a #1 position in 17 of the last 19 years. He leaves the business and the broader network content team in incredibly solid shape.”
Southern Cross and Seven West Media completed their A$385m (£192m) merger at the start of the year, creating a group that owns Seven, sibling streamer 7plus, news titles such as The West Australian and dozens of radio stations.
