Reshuffle at Vandeprump Rules outfit also sees new role for Jessica Snavely
Sony Pictures Television-backed US unscripted label 32 Flavors has reshuffled its senior team with the addition of Michael Beck.
Beck becomes senior vice president of programming at the Vandeprump Rules outfit, having previously been showrunner on the series.
He reports into the company’s founder and chief exec, Alex Baskin.
The rejig also sees Jessica Snavely, who joined 32 Flavors from Evolution Media two years ago, becoming senior vice president of production and operations.
She will works across the slate and oversee growth into areas such as scripted and podcasts, reporting into Baskin, who set up 32 Flavors after departing Amazon-backed Evolution.
“Jessica has been instrumental in helping us build 32 Flavors into one of the industry’s fastest-growing production companies, and Michael is one of the most respected creative forces in unscripted television,” Baskin told Variety, which broke the news.
“As we continue to grow our business, their complementary strengths in creative leadership and operational excellence will be invaluable.”
32 Flavors is behind US reality hits including The Valley and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as well as Netflix podcast Shut Up Evan.
Sony acquired its majority stake in 32 Flavors in May, two months after SPT’s former unscripted chiefs Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman stepped down from the US studio, SPT Nonfiction now falls under Katherine Pope’s Sony Pictures Television Studios.
