Zelda Camilleri promoted from France oversight to expanded role including key international territories
French producer-distributor StudioCanal has promoted its French distribution lead to head up global TV and SVoD sales.
Zelda Camilleri will now oversee distribution for StudioCanal’s content internationally, with a focus on key territories including the UK, Germany, Benelux, and Australia. She will continue to steer sales in France alongside her expanded remit.
Her role will involve supporting the company’s growth strategy across these territories and spur the exploitation of StudioCanal’s TV and film productions globally.
Camilleri joined the Paddington outfit in 2016 and has been head of TV and SVoD sales in France for the past five years, establishing StudioCanal’s partnerships with broadcasters and streamers.
The company’s catalogue includes espionage series Canal+ création originales Paris Has Fallen, which recently scored a second series greenlight, and Of Money and lood, Sky gangster tentpole ZeroZeroZero, Russell T. Davies’ BBC1 near-future dystopia Years and Years, and the Paddington animated series.
Camilleri will continue to report to chief commercial officer Anne Chérel, who said: “With StudioCanal’s expansion in film and TV production, and the strong potential of our prestigious library titles, it is essential to structure our TV/SVoD sales globally and cross-functionally.
“Zelda’s experience and strategic vision will be key assets in driving our growth in these key markets. I am delighted about this new role for Zelda, which recognizes her commitment and expertise within the group.”
