Gray Divorce among NEM Awards winners
The winners of NEM Awards 2025 have been revealed with Gray Divorce, created by Inja Korać and Lea Stanković, winning the Best Pre-development TV Series in Europe.
The show beat off competition from fellow finalists including The Boy Who Could Listen to the Soil, by Vasilis Chrysanthopoulos and Neritan Zinxhiria, and In Nomine Patris, by Anastasia Pashkevich.
The Best Finished TV Series in the CEE award was presented to The Breslau Murders, produced by ATM Grupa. Other finalists included A Decent Man, produced by TVN Warner Bros. Discovery, and Detective Von Fock, produced by ZDF in collaboration with Zolba Productions.
NEM Awards are organised by Mediavision, the Croatian marketing and television industry agency that runs events including NEM Dubrovnik and NEM Zagreb.
Hallmark drama lands on ITVX
ITVX in the UK has bolstered its festive programming line-up with romantic comedy series Twelve Dates ‘til Christmas.
The series, produced by Drops of God outfit Dynamic Television will its UK debut on 22 December, exclusively on ITV’s streaming platform.
Starring Mae Whitman, Mary McDonnell and Jane Seymour, the six-part title is based on the popular novel by Jenni Bayliss and follows Kate, a textile designer who is thrown unexpectedly into a matchmaking programme that sends her on 12 uniquely themed dates leading up to Christmas.
Twelve Dates premiered on the Hallmark Channel in the US on 5 December, as part of the network’s countdown to Christmas event.
Hulu orders from Succession’s Will Arbery
Disney-owned streamer Hulu has ordered family drama Seven Sisters.
The show stars Elizabeth Olsen, Cristin Milioti and J. Smith-Cameron, with executive producers Will Arbery (Succession), Garrett Basch (Ripley) and Sean Durkin (Dead Ringers) attached. The series is produced by FX Productions.
The series, which will stream on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally, explores what happens when a large, tight-knit family begins to unravel after a sister starts communing with a voice no one else can hear.
Rainbow buys Geronimo Stilton
Italian kids entertainment group Rainbow has acquired the intellectual property of children’s literary character Geronimo Stilton.
Rainbow is planning creative and commercial development for the famous journalist mouse, whose books, written by Elisabetta Dami, have sold more than 190 million copies in more than 50 languages.
Winx Club-owner Rainbow has purchased the rights through the acquisition of shares in Dami’s International Characters and Pietro Marietti’s company PM.
Geronimo Stilton, which was created by Dami, follows the reluctant hero and editor of The Rodent’s Gazette, whose curiosity repeatedly draws him into extraordinary adventures.
