In the UK, the BBC showed the event across its digital platforms

The debut event of Athlos London drew 7.3 million viewers around the globe.
The women’s athletics meet took place at the StoneX Stadium in Barnet on 18 September, and was Athlos’ first event outside the UK. Athlos was founded by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian through his venture capital firm Seven Seven Six in 2024, and expanded for 2026 with a new league format as well as record athlete compensation and an industry-first athlete equity model for eligible competitors.
Athletes taking part in 2026 included Keely Hodgkinson, Sha’Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas, Marileidy Paulino, Henriette Jæger, and more.
In the UK, the event was shown on the BBC’s digital platforms, and international distribution partners included the Scripps network, across ION and Bounce, Eurovision, W-Sport, ESPN, X and YouTube. Athlos London was available to watch in over 150 countries worldwide.
While 7.3 million tuned in across these partners, Athlos also generated 31.2 million social views across its own and its partner channels.
Kayla Green, acting president of Athlos, said: “London showed exactly what is possible when the world’s best athletes are given the investment, visibility and a platform created just for them. We saw a sold-out stadium, exceptional performances and an audience of 7.3 million viewers (up from last year’s 4.5 million) watching around the world.
“This was Athlos’s first event outside the United States, but the response proved that the appetite for women’s track and field is truly global. We are incredibly proud of what the athletes delivered and of the atmosphere created by the London crowd.”
