The Premier League has reportedly told clubs that it believes income from broadcast rights will top £10 billion over the next three seasons.

According to The Times, if this prediction comes to pass it will mean that international rights deals will be worth more than domestic for the first time - bringing in £5.3 billion compared to £5.1 billion. This is a first for a football league.

These numbers mean that the Premier League champions are set to earn £176 million next season, up from £153 million, and the bottom side will bring in £106 million, up from £97 million this time. The top side earns more from the deal after new financial distribution rules brought in in 2019.

It also means the league will enter negotiations with the English Football League about solidarity payments.

The Premier League rolled over its deals with Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video, and BBC Sport for the last domestic rights auction, keeping it at the same value while seeing growth across its global deals - such as more than doubling its US deal with NBC.
