Docuseries covers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s ownership of Wrexham AFC

FX's Welcome to Wrexham - Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds

Disney+ has renewed Welcome To Wrexham for a further three series. 

With the fifth series debuting on 15 May, this will take the docuseries to a minimum of eight series. it follows the fortunes of football club Wrexham AFC, whose fortunes have risen sharply since being bought by US actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. 

One new episode of the eight-episode fifth series will stream weekly from 15 May. It follows Wrexham’s first season in the Championship after three consecutive promotions, and the team’s attempt to be promoted to the Premier League at the first time of asking. 

The show is executive produced by McElhenney, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Humphrey Ker, Nicholas Frenkel, George Dewey and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Andy Thomas. It’s produced by More Better Productions, Maximum Effort, 3 Arts Entertainment and Boardwalk Pictures.
