WWE and PSG will work on original content development as part of wider partnership

WWE & PSG partner

WWE and French football club PSG have revealed a wide-ranging partnership.

The pair will work together on original content development, as well as exclusive merchandise and retail collaborations, fan engagement initiatives, community-focused programs, and unique interactions between PSG players and WWE Superstars. This comes as WWE launches its first premium live event in Paris. 

Alex Varga, co-head of revenue at WWE, said: “Paris Saint-Germain is a world-class organization with an incredibly passionate fanbase. Together we believe we can deliver unforgettable experiences and unique products to engage a global audience with both brands.”

Fabien Allègre, chief brand officer, Paris Saint-Germain, added: “We are excited to collaborate with WWE at such a pivotal time for their business, as Paris welcomes the WWE Universe for its first major premium live event in the city. We aim to collectively unite fans across continents in ways that are authentic and true to each brand.”

Serie A & Globant fight piracy

Serie A and Globant have revealed that the latter’s AI-powered tools and services have successfully detected and blocked over 4,500 piracy attacks per gameweek over the past year. 

This has been acheived with Globant’s Piracy Guard product, which uses a combination of real-time monitoring, AI-driven detection, and human expertise. 

“Lega Serie A has a complex and diversified strategy to combat piracy in the most effective ways, leveraging all currently available tools. Through our partnership with Globant Sportian, we’ve taken further steps to protect the investment of our licensees and ensure fans access matches through legal channels,” said Luisella Fusco, media operations & broadcast director at Lega Serie A. “Piracy remains one of the greatest threats to the sustainability of football, and we consider it part of our responsibility to lead the fightback and protect our sport for future generations.”

VNL breaks viewership records

The Volleyball Nations League has broken viewership records across Brazil, Turkey and Poland. 

In Brazil, it drew 11.1 million viewers across more than 666 hours of content - 24% more content than it has had before. Globo drew a live average audience of 2.7 million, making it the second most-watched sports broadcast of the year outside football. On pay TV, the VNL secured all of the top 10 live sports broadcasts in 2025. 

In Poland, the men’s final between the country and Italy drew a combined audience of 3.8 million across Polsat Sport 1 and free-to-air television, and the largest sports audience on Polsat Sport in a quarter of a century. 

Finally, in Turkey the women’s pool match between Türkiye and Czechia on TRT 1 achieved a live average audience of 1.1 million, a 35% jump from the country’s highest figure the previous year.
