Two-year extension sees seven games-a-season stay free-to-air

ITV has renewed its rights deal with Prem Rugby for a further two years.
The broadcaster will continue to air seven games-a-season, including the Prem Rugby Final, on ITV and ITVX. All of these fixtures will also be shown by TNT Sports, which is the competition’s main broadcaster and broadcasts every fixture. TNT Sports renewed its rights deal last year.
Prem Rugby originally opened a free-to-air window through ITV in 2022, before the agreement was extended in 2024. ITV also shows the Six Nations, which it shares with the BBC and renewed last year.
Ollie Lewis, head of broadcast for Prem Rugby, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with ITV, which is now into its fifth year.
“Giving fans of Gallagher Prem Rugby free-to-air access across the season, alongside the Six Nations, is the perfect blend to showcase the stars of our league to wider audiences.”
Niall Sloane, director of ITV Sport, said: “The Gallagher Prem serves up world-class rugby and the extension of our current deal means ITV continues to deliver free-to-air rugby for audiences in the UK, adding to our already expanding rugby portfolio.”
