Jake Humphrey to only front Champions League games

Lynsey Hipgrave & Robbie Savage BT Sport

BT Sport has shaken up its Premier League coverage, replacing Jake Humphrey with Lynsey Hipgrave at the helm.

Hipgrave has hosted the broadcaster’s Europa League coverage in recent seasons, and will be joined by former England internationals Jack Wilshere and Jermaine Defoe on the presentation team.

Humphrey will continue to front the channel’s Champions League coverage, with Defoe and Wilshere also joining the pundit ranks for that competition.

In addition, BT Sport will also launch a series of new, free podcasts and audio documentaries – BT Sport Pods, and documentaries such as upcoming film Glory Hunters.

Glory Hunters takes viewers on a rare journey into the world of football memorabilia and the iconic moments recalled by shirts, boots and other more unusual items, while also exploring the business of the auctioneers who sell often coveted and valuable items.

It has been produced by BT Sport in partnership with Noah Media Group, and includes the likes of Chris Sutton (Chris speaks about his Blackburn Rovers shirt from their season as champions), Danny Simpson (Danny auctions a Leicester shirt from his days playing for the 2015-16 title winners), and Brian Deane (Brian talks about the shirt he wore when scoring the first ever Premier League goal in Sheffield United’s game against Manchester United in 1992).
