The streamer has appointed the former footballer and actor as ‘official head coach’ of its Netflix Sports Club

Netflix has teamed up with Vinnie Jones to promote its slate of sports content.
Jones is “official head coach” of the “Netflix Sports Club” in a promo film built around the slogan, “We Don’t Play The Same” that showcases what Netflix calls “the unconventional icons and culture-defining stories of the 2026 sports slate”.
In the video, Jones and a team of analysts including Jamie Carragher observe members of the public attempting to mimic iconic moments like Jamie Vardy’s eagle celebration and Jerzy Dudek’s penalty-line antic.
The content also features cameos from Jamie Vardy, Big John, Danny Aarons and Specs.
