Netflix has unveiled a teaser video for its forthcoming documentary series, MOURINHO. The series will launch globally on 11 August.

MOURINHO charts José Mourinho’s rise into one of football’s most trophy-laden and outspoken figures, winning league titles in four different countries and lifting the Champions League twice.

The three-part series includes access to Mourinho alongside interviews with Sir Alex Ferguson, John Terry, Iker Casillas, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Didier Drogba, Marcelo, Samuel Eto’o, Javier Zanetti, Frank Lampard and Petr Čech.

Netflix says the documentary “goes beyond the headlines and the touchline theatrics to get under the skin of the Special One.”

The series comes from BECKHAM producer and double Academy Award-winner John Battsek, and BAFTA and Emmy-nominated director Joe Pearlman (Robbie Williams; Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now). It was produced by VENTURELAND.
