Cameras will be used to capture behind-the-scenes content pitchside and in the stands
Premiership Rubgy has partnered with GoPro for its final this weekend.
Bath and Leicester Tigers face off in the showpiece fixture at Twickenham on 14 June, and GoPro cameras will be used to capture behind-the-scenes content around the stadium and on the pitch. These are in addition to the record-breaking 20+ cameras that TNT Sports is using for its broadcast.
There will be GoPro content stations at key locations pitchside and by fans, as well as mounted cameras to capture pre-match rituals, the stadium’s atmosphere and fan celebrations. This content will be used for social-first content on Premiership Rugby’s and GoPro’s digital channels across Final weekend, and for a GoPro Rugby Cam highlight reel that will go out after the match.
Kelly Cooke, commercial director for Premiership Rugby, said: “We’re always looking for new ways to bring fans into the game. Partnering with an iconic brand in GoPro allows us to share the energy, emotion, and athleticism of the Final in a way that’s never been seen before.”
Rick Loughery, SVP of global marketing for GoPro, added: “We are excited to be working with Premiership Rugby at their biggest match of the season.
“With GoPro’s MAX360 and HERO13 cameras around the stadium we will be able to bring unique perspectives that immerse the fans into that match in new ways.”
