Whisper & Religion of Sports series, co-exec produced by Steven Knight, follows football club under ownership group including NFL legend Tom Brady

Prime Video will launch Built In Birmingham: Brady & the Blues, on 1 August. 

All five episodes of the series, which is co-exec produced by Steven Knight and originally revealed in April, will be available immediately. It follows the Championship football club ’s fortunes under the new ownership of an American consortium which includes NFL legend Tom Brady. The project was conceived by Tom Brady and Religion of Sports co-founder Gotham Chopra, following Brady joining as the club as minority owner in 2023. 

Embedded camera crews have followed the first team players, coaching staff, and key ownership figures, including Birmingham City’s head coach Chris Davies, chairman Tom Wagner, who is also co-founder and co-managing member of Knighthead Capital Management, LLC, and minority owner Brady.

The series also aims to showcase the cultural heritage of Birmingham, and the club’s fanbase. 

Knight exec produces alongside Matt Alvarez (Straight Outta Compton, Are We There Yet?, Straight Outta LA, the Friday franchise) of Knighthead and club board member. It is produced by produced by Religion of Sports and Whisper. It is co-directed by Chopra and Claudia Corbisiero (Sven). You can watch the trailer below.
