Fixtures v France XV and USA to be shown on streaming platform

RugbyPass TV England games

RugbyPass TV will exclusively broadcast two England rugby matches this summer.

The first will be an England XV taking on a France XV at Twickenham this week, 21 June, before the streaming platform will show England’s match with the USA in Washington DC on 19 July. The game with France is only an England XV as some players have joined up with the Lions squad for its tour of Australia.

RugbyPass TV will show these games in all territories, including the UK, except for France for the France fixture and the US for the USA fixture.

RugbyPass TV, the D2C streaming service of World Rugby, similarly showed England’s fixture against Japan last year

England Rugby marketing director Ewan Turney said: “It’s great to extend our established partnership with World Rugby to offer all supporters in the UK and Ireland more free-to-air coverage via RugbyPass TV.

“We know that younger audiences are gravitating towards streaming platforms, with fans watching matches across a variety of devices.

“These two matches are not only a key part of our summer series but also play an important role in the team’s development cycle as we build towards the next Rugby World Cup.”

World Rugby director of media and USA commercial Dom Hayes added: “Following our successful live coverage of Japan v England, we’re excited to collaborate with England Rugby and USA Rugby to broadcast these matches on our free-to-access RugbyPass TV platform.

“This is central to our mission to grow and convert audiences in key growth markets like the USA and deepen our relationship with fans around the world. We are committed to making world-class rugby content more accessible, and we look forward to continuing to deliver premium coverage in collaboration with our national unions.”
