Broadcaster to show almost 50% more games than previously
Sky Sports has renewed its NFL rights deal, increasing the number of games it shows by almost 50%.
The broadcaster will have first pick of Sunday 6pm and 9pm fixtures, as well as concurrently showing one extra match at 6pm and up to two extra games at 9pm. In addition, all London and Europe games, which are in Ireland and Spain this season, will be shown on Sky Sports, as well as all Thursday Night, Sunday Night and Monday Night Football, Thanksgiving games, the playoffs and Super Bowl LX.
Sky Sports will also continue to be the home of the NFL RedZone programme.
Due to the concurrent games, live NFL will be shown across Sky Sports NFL, Sky Sports+ and Sky Sports Mix.
Sky’s deal comes after 5 announced it will be the new free-to-air home of the NFL, showing 6pm and 9pm Sunday games, as well as the UK and Ireland international matches, Thanksgiving Day specials, three playoff games, and Super Bowl LX. Its 6pm Sunday match will be different to Sky’s with Sky having exclusive first pick at that time.
