Second season sees broadcaster add watchalongs to its YouTube channel

Sky Sports has renewed its deal to broadcast Baller League UK for its second season.
The competition, which sees six-a-side games with special rules played between teams of professional footballers with influencer managers, is also being shown on the Baller League YouTube and Twitch channels. This is the same arrangement that there was for the first UK season, which was launched after two seasons in Germany.
The second season began on 27 October, with games being played on Monday evenings for 11 weeks. All will be available on Sky Sports, as well as watchalong coverage for select matchdays on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel.
New teams for season two include Chloe Kelly’s Clutch FC, Idris Elba’s Rukkas FC and Niko Omilana’s NDL FC join the competition. In addition, former England striker and Sky Sports expert Daniel Sturridge joins Micah Richards to manage Deportrio FC.
Former players John Terry, Jens Lehmann, Robert Pires, Alan Shearer and Ian Wright also return to the dugout, alongside Miniminter, Tobi Brown, Sharky, AngryGinge and Maya Jama who will manage alongside Como Women’s Alisha Lehmann.
