SPONSORED: It will also return to Asia next year, for the first time since 2019

Sportel

Sportel has revealed the full programme for its 2022 edition in Monaco.

It has the aim of returning to its pre-Covid level, filling its trade floor, notably with the two traditional exhibition halls (Ravel and Diaghilev) as well as a target number of visitors that will be equivalent to 2019, when it returns to the Grimaldi Forum Monaco from 24-26 October.

Sportel will have a wide range of organisations attending, including the consistent presence of North American (Fight Sports, Major Baseball League, NFL, NBA, Protocol Sports, Twitch, Veritone, Viewlift, WWE etc.), Asian (Asian Football Confederation, Dentsu, Transvision, Triton, Nippon Television Network, ONE Championship, etc.) and European companies (ESPN, LaLiga, Eurosport, Bundesliga, FIFA, Feedconstruct, Sportway, Infront), as well as more than 40 companies that have never attended before. The full list of attendees can be found here.

Part of the efforts to return the show to pre-Covid levels includes expanding its Speakers Corner Conference Summit by 50%. 40 international experts will present 3 keynotes, 6 masterclasses and 15 presentation sessions, and attendees will be able to discover more about the latest in sports media insight and key tech trends revolutionizing the sports broadcast industry such as AI, the cloud, automated live sports production, data management, OTT, streaming, social media, NFTs, the Metaverse and Web 3:0, highlighting opportunities to grow new fan bases and revenue streams. The full programme can be found here.

In addition, Sportel has expanded its Rendez-Vous series for 2023, adding an event in Bali for 2023. It is the first time that Sportel has held an event in Asia for four years, and will be held at the Grand Hyatt Bali Hotel from 23-24 February. The Welcome Party for all registered participants will be held at the hotel on 22 February at sunset.

The Bali event is organised in partnership with pay-TV provider Transvision.

In May 2023, Sportel Rendez-Vous will return to the United States at the $50m (£44.4m) refurbished Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay from 9-10 May - following directly on from the 2023 F1 Miami Grand Prix. Sportel Rendez-Vous is a streamlined overseas two-day market series, with attendee passes from $550/€490 (£488/£426). It includes exhibiting opportunities, discounted hotel room rates, a conference summit, a wide range of sponsorship and networking event opportunities, and many extracurricular activities.

Laurent Puons, CEO of Sportel, said: “With these two events abroad, one in Asia and one in North America, Sportel confirms that we are always staying ahead of the game and that we continue to develop business opportunities to best meet our clients’ needs.

“Our strategy and approach today are very clear. Sportel Monaco remains the main flagship event that reunites all Sportel’s community and the Sportel Rendez-Vous series provides additional opportunities to do business internationally, in different markets and continents, all throughout the year, in a smaller, more intimate and affordable format.”
