Brookie set may live on in sitcom
The unfeasibly hazardous Liverpool cul-de-sac which plays host to Channel 4's now departing soap Brookside could be used as a set for a new sitcom as part of an ambitious plan by Mersey Television to diversify into comedy and multimedia drama, writes Leigh Holmwood
