Channel 4 has promoted Anmar Kawash to become the new managing director of its commercial arm 4Ventures.

He will succeed Rob Woodward, who was promoted to C4 commercial director in October last year but continued to act in parallel as 4Ventures managing director.

Kawash, who was previously chief operating officer for 4Ventures and managing director of the company's services division, will continue to report to Woodward.

At the same time Graeme Mason has been appointed to a new role as head of media projects for 4Ventures, reporting to Woodward, where he will act as 4Venture's key liaison point with C4's commissioning team. They will identify programme ideas that can be developed into multi-platform events and other business opportunities.

Michael Comish, currently deputy head of corporate development for C4, replaces Kawash as managing director, 4Services.
