Carlton will lose almost #100m by closing ITV Digital, according to interim results released on Tuesday (28 May). The company has also admitted that its Carlton Cinema digital channel is under review.The results for the six months to 31 March show turnover was down £36m to £503m, while operating profit fell from £44m in 2001 to #17m. The company has made no provision for the impending #178.5m legal claim against ITV Digital shareholders Carlton and Granada by the Football League.
