Nina Bhagwat has been with broadcaster for three years
Channel 4’s off-screen diversity executive Nina Bhagwat is leaving the broadcaster after more than three years.
Bhagwat, who reports into head of creative diversity and special projects Angela Chan, has been instrumental in launching some of C4’s schemes aimed at growing talent from underrepresented groups, including writing and directing scheme 4Stories.
She is also the change lead of the broadcaster’s BAME Action Plan. She joined the broadcaster in August 2015.
Bhagwat is leaving to take up a new role elsewhere.
She is one of three creative diversity execs, including off-screen diversity executive Abiola Rufai and on-screen diversity executive Naomi Sesay.
In June, Emma Hardy was appointed as the broadcaster’s first head of on-screen talent, while in December, C4 hired the Guardian’s former head of diversity Yasir Mirza in the new role of head of inclusion and diversity.
