Channel 4’s head of strategy is leaving to join Sky.

Kim Chua is leaving after seven years to join the pay-TV platform’s OTT service Now TV as director of distribution and partnership integration.

Part of chief consumer and strategy officer Sarah Rose’s team, Chua will take up her new role in January. She will report to Now TV managing director Marina Storti.

Chua said she is keen to help “propel” the Now TV service.

“The people at Now TV exude energy and optimism and I feel we will be well-equipped to thrive as the SVoD market continues to evolve,” she said.

Storti added: “Kim is a highly-respected and brilliant leader who brings with her a deep understanding of the industry in which we operate.”

Chua was most recently chair of the Freeview board, completing the year-long term earlier this year before passing the mantle onto BBC director of creative Justin Bairamian.
