Channel 5 has unveiled its new logo ahead of a wider channel rebrand scheduled for mid-February.
The new look has been used for the first time on the channel’s press and publicity material and is expected to be presented to viewers as part of a channel refresh slated for 14 February.
It represents the first major branding change for C5 since Northern & Shell bought the broadcaster in July for £103.5m.
Following the acquisition, Northern & Shell owner Richard Desmond said the channel would be renamed as Channel 5 rather than Five.
The latest logo will replace the existing one, which features the word Five written in white on a red circular background and features onscreen as a permanent graphic.
