The housewife who stripped to a basque and nipple tassles in the premiere of ITV1's variety quest Britain's Got Talent has sparked nearly 40 complaints to Ofcom.

Former dance champion Fabia Cerra's saucy burleque routine was shown just after the 9pm watershed, with her buttocks and breasts digitally covered by Union Jack flags (the pictures we have sourced from ITV have been covered here with the Broadcast logo).

Ofcom said that the majority of the 39 complaints over the show were made over Cerra's routine.

Britian's Got Talent had a record launch audience of 10.3m, a share of more than 50%.
