Glamour model Jodie Marsh is to compete in a bodybuilding competition for a new documentary for Discovery’s youth-skewing channel DMAX UK.
The broadcaster has ordered 60-minute special Jodie Marsh: Bodybuilder, which aims to offer a unique insight into the world of natural female bodybuilding.
It is one of the first commissions for Knickerbockerglory TV, the indie established by former Pineapple Dance Studios executive producer Jonathan Stadlen.
The documentary follows Marsh as she trains to transform herself into a natural bodybuilding champion and take part in a professional competition in Sheffield.
The show was ordered by Sarah Thornton, director, production and development, lifestyle and entertainment, Discovery Networks Western Europe. Stadlen is the executive producer for Knickerbockerglory.
It is Marsh’s second project for DMAX after she trained to become a tattoo artist for a special doc last year. Jodie Marsh: Bodybuilder will TX in January next year.
