Dragonfly has poached BBC3’s head of development as part of a range of changes to the indie’s senior team.
Martha Housden, whose credits include Junior Doctors: Your Life In Their Hands and the forthcoming Hot Like Us, starts as head of development with immediate effect.
She has already worked as a freelancer for Dragonfly, where she created the forthcoming Double Weddings for Sky Living. Housden takes on the position vacated by Ash Potterton, who has been promoted to executive producer, overseeing both development and production.
The Shine-owned indie has also promoted Mark Roberts from his role as head of specialist factual and features to head of factual.
In addition, Dragonfly has appointed Claire Wingate as production executive.
Wingate was formerly a producer at Fresh One Productions, where she worked on Jamie’s Britain and Jamie’s Best Ever Christmas, among others. At Dragonfly, she will oversee and support productions on a day-to-day basis.
The appointments follow the recruitment of Dragonfly’s creative director Simon Dickson in June from Channel 4, where he was deputy head of documentaries.
