The Independent Television Commission has upheld complaints about Five's Dumber and Dumber series (left), after it claimed the show's humorous treatment of injury and violence breached its programme codes. Fronted by radio DJ Tommy Vance, the show, which aired in two pre-watershed slots in January, featured mainly US clips of stunts or dangerous sports that went wrong. Footage included two marshals being hit by a motorcycle, a surfer being carried from the sea vomiting and near to death and a woman, described as suffering from a sleeping disorder, being rescued after climbing a pylon.
