The BBC has started production on the long-awaited fourth episode of EastEnders, which is expected to go out on a Friday evening from 10 August, writes Leigh Holmwood. A source close to several of the soap's stars told Broadcast that filming for the new edition had begun in the last two weeks. It takes six weeks from the time of filming for an episode to hit the screens. A leaked memo was reported to claim the new episode would start with the trial of Dan Sullivan, although the BBC refused to confirm this.
