Howard Twine has returned to storage and media management systems firm EditShare as director of software strategy.

In the newly-created role Twine has been tasked with driving the company’s solutions strategy.

His remit includes increasing workflow options and third-party integrations offered through EditShare’s media management solutions, including its flagship production asset management platform EditShare Flow.

Most recently Twine held the role of chief operations officer at quality control software firm Vidcheck where he worked on the company’s tools for analysing DPP AS-11 files.

Prior to that, he was a product manager at EditShare with a responsibility for architecting company’s media asset management workflow solutions.

Twine has also worked for Edifis, Leitch, Pro-Bel, SGL and TransMedia Dynamics.

EditShare managing director James Richings said: “With the move towards more software-centric, IP-based workflows, we are facing some big changes in our industry.

“Howard brings with him a vast amount of experience, and as director of software strategy, he will be a driving force in evolving EditShare software platforms and expanding technology partnerships to meet new market opportunities as well as EditShare customer needs.”
