Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution has won an Emmy award in the best reality show category.

The Naked Chef’s US series, which focused on childhood obesity in the US, picked up the gong at the creative arts Emmy ceremony, which honour technical achievements ahead of the main awards ceremony.

Betty White, star of Golden Girls, was named best guest actress in a comedy series for her stint hosting Saturday Night Live. Neil Patrick Harris, who also presented the awards, picked up two prizes, including one for best guest actor in a comedy series for his role in Glee.

Outstanding guest actor in a drama series went to John Lithgow for his season-long appearance in Dexter, the serial-killer drama. Mad Men continued to catch the eye of the critics, collecting best casting in a drama series and best hairstyling.

BBC drama Return To Cranford won the best costumes (mini-series) award and Anne Hathaway picked up the best voice-over prize for lending her vocal chords to Princess Penelope in The Simpsons.
