ESPN is to adapt US sports debate show Pardon The Interruption for UK audiences featuring pundit Steve Bunce.

The weekly 30-minute studio show, produced with indie Bite Yer Legs, will feature discussions on the latest sporting news and events and is fronted by ESPN presenter Mark Chapman.

Chapman and Bunce will cover the main sporting news before debating a series of topical events in a strict limit. Pardon The Interruption will be interspersed with a range of interviews with sports stars.

Jeroen Oerlemans, ESPN vice president of EMEA TV channels, said: “PTI is a lively, engaging new format for ESPN in the UK. It is a great addition to our expanding UK programming line-up.”

It joins ESPN’s range of original shows which includes analysis shows Between The Lines and Talk Of The Terrace.
