Stephen Fry’s gadget escapades took a downward turn after his Channel 4 show lost around a third of its viewers on Monday.

The six-part series continued with an audience that was more than 700k down on last week’s debut performance of 2.03m (7.94%).
It slipped below C4’s slot average of 1.62m (6.61%) for the past 12 months, according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional.
The programme was beaten by MasterChef: the Professionals, which secured an audience of 2.59m (10.3%) / 101k (0.4%) HD, while BBC1’s Panorama won over 2.89m (11.5%).
Gadget Man still topped The Gadget Show on Channel 5, which slipped to a series low of 757k (3.08%) over the 8pm hour. A further 34k (0.14%) watched on C5+1.
The Curious Case of the Clark Brothers (C4) 9pm-10pm
1.1m (4.5%) / 271k (1.7%) +1
Fry’s show was followed by a documentary about two brothers with an extremely rare neurological disease. It was 700k under C4’s slot average of 1.83m (7.49%) for the past year.
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! (ITV1) 8.30pm-10pm
9m (36.66%) / 301k (1.57%) +1
Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan lost her place on the reality show, which was around 400k viewers down on last Monday’s audience of 9.42m (38.82%).
The Dark Charisma of Adolf Hitler (BBC2) 9pm-10pm
1.86m (7.6%)
The three-part series about the Nazi leader bowed out on a series low. Overall, it averaged 2m (8.2%) viewers for BBC2.
New Tricks (BBC1) 9pm-10pm
3.95m (16.2%)
The repeat from series eight of the crime drama clinched second place in the 9pm battle.
FILM: The Patriot (C5) 9pm-12.15am
500k (3.2%) / 84k (0.89%) +1
The Mel Gibson period war drama failed to ignite C5’s primetime output.
