ITV controller of entertainment Claudia Rosencrantz has ordered an undisclosed number of episodes of Home Alone following a successful pilot earlier this year. The show, which features kids revamping their parents' houses with the help of professional interior designers, will be produced by Dagmar Charlton and executive produced by Natalka Znak.

The pilot aired on Saturday 10 February and drew 8.9 million viewers and a 45 per cent share of viewing. The company is already in negotiations to sell the format to other broadcasters in the US and Europe.

Producers hope the show will sell well and help Granada Content meet its target, set by Granada chairman Charles Allen, of finding three hit international formats by the end of the year (Broadcast, 11.1.02).
