London-based indie Hothouse Productions has been commissioned by outgoing Channel 4 commissioning editor night-time Stevan Keane to make a 60-minute special of spoof soap opera West Heath Yard, featuring guest stars including Creation Records founder Alan McGee. A 6 x 30-minute series of the show aired last May in C4's 4 Later strand. West Heath Yard was devised by Scottish singer Edwyn Collins and his sound engineer Sebastian Redgrave, who both star in the show. Hothouse managing director Martin Perry will executive produce and direct the special, which is due for transmission in a late night slot in May.
