ITV walked off with the most gongs at the National TV Awards this week with Coronation Street snatching its third successive most popular serial award, writes Simon Ellery.
ITV scooped 10 of the 14 categories at the awards, produced by Indigo Television for ITV. Who Wants to be a Millionaire? won most popular quiz while Stars in Their Eyes won most popular entertainment programme for the fourth time. This Morning won most popular daytime programme and Bad Girls most popular drama.

The BBC walked off with prizes for most popular actor with Martin Kemp in EastEnders, most popular factual programme Animal Hospital and most popular comedy programme The Royle Family.
