Living TV is bulking up its paranormal output with a daily live teatime psychic show in which mediums will work with celebrities to try and contact the dead, writes Michael Rosser.
Psychic Live will feature a celebrity on each of the 20 x 60-minute live shows, including Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and EastEnders star Jessie Wallace.Hosted by Richard Arnold, the show will have a studio audience which will also be involved in "readings" with psychics. Viewers will be invited to call in to share their psychic experiences.The show, produced by indie Scream Films and ordered by commissioning editor Clare Hollywood, will include on-location reports at sites with a paranormal connection as well as a Teach Yourself Psychic section.It will be screened at 17.10 and repeated the next day at 11.00.Hollywood has also ordered another paranormal show in which presenter Gail Porter travels to Hollywood to host, Dead Famous, in which she enlists the help of an American medium to speak to the spirits of Hollywood legends including Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Frank Sinatra.The 6 x 30-minute series is being made by Two Four Productions and will be screened primetime from April next year.
