BBC Worldwide has revealed the first images from the forthcoming Russian version of Life of Mars.
The Russian adaptation of the time-slip drama has been renamed Dark Side of the Moon, referencing the 1973 album recorded by Pink Floyd.
It is being made by production company Sreda for Channel One Russia, which commissioned a local version of the format in 2009 but has only now gone into production.
Gene Hunt’s character has been renamed Kotov and has two sidekicks, named Stepa and Zholobov.
The character of Sam, who seemingly slips from the present day to the 1970s after an accident, becomes Michael while Anne is renamed Katya.
The drama has previously been remade for Antena3 in Spain and ABC in the US.
