MipTV organiser Reed Midem has unveiled levels of attendance for this week’s international content market.

The number of registered attendees was 11,500, on a par with last year’s number, according to Reed Midem television director Laurine Garaude.

More than 1,500 exhibiting companies out of a total 3,957 participating firms were among the registered attendants.

Attendance from Latin America, Turkey and China showed an increase.

In addition, MipDoc hosted a total of 767 registered attendees. The Connected Creativity forum, a new addition to this year’s MipTV, attracted more than 500 participants.

Garaude further noted the slew of celebrities on site, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, who introduced his multiplatform animated brand The Govenator.

Reed Midem also announced that Russia will be the country of focus at Mipcom in October.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that MipTV 2012 will be pushed back by two days to accomodate religious holidays and will start on a Saturday.
